I, a graphic designer, and my partner, a programmer, discovered this paradise thanks to the kind hostess, Sylvie, from whom we rented a part of her house through Airbnb. From the terrace of our home, we were greeted by breathtaking views of the mighty peaks of the Alps, energizing us with inspiration every day.
March in Saint-Jeoire-Prieuré brought us a variety of weather. We enjoyed clear, sunny days when the Alps sparkled with snow under the rays of the sun, as well as found comfort in warm, cozy evenings with a glass of French wine when the sky was covered with clouds. Despite the changeable weather, each day greeted us with new opportunities to explore the surrounding nature and discover new corners of this beautiful place.
Thanks to the opportunity to work remotely, we actively explored the surroundings, and every weekend became a new adventure. We ventured into pre-selected hiking and walking spots, enjoying the majestic views and the atmosphere of solitude offered by the nature of the French Alps. The road to these places took only a couple of hours, but every minute of the journey was filled with anticipation of new discoveries and adventures.

March in Saint-Jeoire-Prieuré is a riot of greenery and the restless chirping of birds, which sometimes managed to wake us up in the morning. The area is extremely peaceful, and sometimes you have to make an effort to meet people.
Hiking and Trekking
We fully enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and majestic views of the French Alps, embarking on hiking and trekking adventures along the nearby trails. March may not be the most picturesque period in terms of nature, but the trekking was still very beautiful. However, it is important to note (this was our mistake) – not to plan trekking in high mountains (like Chamonix), as the season starts in June.
Exploring Local Culture
We also enjoyed getting to know the local culture and cuisine, which was of the highest level. There is a risk of gaining extra pounds. Magnificent delicious pastries. Wine and dairy products.
